Lotte World Adventure Busan: Best Rides for Kids and Families

Fairy-tale castle at Lotte World Adventure Busan on a clear day, featuring detailed towers and gardens

If you’re planning a family trip to Busan, Lotte World Adventure Busan is one of the best attractions to add to your itinerary. Unlike Seoul Lotte World, which is mostly indoors, the Busan location is a fully outdoor theme park with bright open-air views, sea breezes, and a European-inspired atmosphere. Our kids (ages 10–12) loved it so much that they asked to visit again.

Below is a complete family guide, including our kids’ personal ranking of the best rides, practical tips, and essential information.

Our Kids’ Top 4 Rides (Ages 10–12)

Giant Digger roller coaster at Lotte World Adventure Busan with large outdoor orange tracks against a blue sky.

No.1 Giant Digger
The most thrilling roller coaster in the park. It speeds forward and then suddenly slows down while climbing backward, creating a surprising moment that our kids absolutely loved.
Height Requirement: 130 cm and above
Age Limit: Up to 65

No.2 Gyro Swing
Gyro Swing exists in Seoul as well, but the Busan version feels more intense because it is completely outdoors. When the ride reaches high angles, the open-air view makes the height feel even more dramatic. All seats face outward, so everyone experiences the same level of thrill.
Height Requirement: 130 cm and above
Age Limit: Up to 65

No.3 Giant Splash
A signature water ride that requires a poncho. Expect speed, a big drop, and a huge splash. It is refreshing on warm days and quickly becomes a kids’ favorite.
Height Requirement: 120 cm and above
Age Limit: Up to 65
Tip: Ponchos are sold at the entrance for around 3,000 KRW.

No.4 Ogre’s Flume
A water ride with two drops—the first short, the second much bigger. It provides just the right amount of thrill for kids and gets you slightly wet without soaking your clothes.
Height Requirement: 120 cm and above
Children between 120–140 cm must ride with a guardian
Age Limit: Up to 65

Why Families Love Lotte World Adventure Busan

Wide, open pathways that are easy for kids to walk through
European-style photo spots throughout the park
A balanced mix of gentle and thrilling attractions
Convenient to combine with nearby Osiria attractions
A refreshing outdoor experience compared to indoor theme parks

A Small Moment From Our Trip

Every time the kids got off a ride, they said, “Mom, that was amazing!” I thought they might be scared on the bigger attractions, but they were the ones leading the way while I followed behind, slightly nervous. Lotte World Adventure Busan became more than a theme park; it turned into a day filled with laughter, confidence, and memories I want to keep forever.
